For the 2012 model year, the Honda Insight has been spiffed up and is looking fresh. Insight drivers will find alterations both inside and out, giving off a much more high-tech look slightly akin to the styling of the new Honda Civic. Starting with the interior, the 2012 Insight variant boasts more leg room, reshaped center-console beverage holders for holding larger cups and more supportive armrests. Going along with a sharper, more technologically advanced image, Honda has redesigned the gauge cluster to add some serious sophistication. Of course, a re-styled model can't just look good on the inside. It needs to scream "smart" from the outside to. This is why designers have given the new Honda Insight a reworked grille design with unique front and rear bumpers. Inside the headlights and brake lights, purposefully placed reflectors provide accents to the new look.

Keeping in the Insight tradition, the 2012 variant comes equipped with a 1.3-liter, VTEC four-cylinder engine and electric motor. Unlike other models however, the new Insight achieves a much quieter ride thanks to thicker materials used for noise-insulation as well as additional cargo insulation panels. For a bit of a price bump, Honda will also provide voice recognition navigation and a rear view camera with a 16-GB Flash memory system.
